The calculator above uses the US 4.0 scale with credit-hour weighting: each grade is multiplied by the credit hours for that course, and the total is divided by the credit hours you entered. The dropdown doesn't display point values, so use this table if you want to check what a letter is worth before you read the result.

If your grades don't fit a 4.0 scale
This widget only works for the US-style 4.0 system. If your transcript already shows a 10-point SGPA, use SGPA to CGPA to combine semesters instead of re-entering courses here. If you have marks out of a total rather than letter grades, start with Marks Percentage.
